The Lead Software Engineer is a leadership role in the Content Engineering group and part of the FactSet Entity Data Collection and Publishing team with overall responsibility of data engineering to build and support a modern content publishing pipeline. The incumbent is an experienced software engineering leader with excellent technical, leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills as well as a solid grasp of the software development lifecycle. The Lead Software Engineer will be joining an agile team that owns and supports multiple critical products that are part of the Global Entity Re-imagined (GER) effort and critical to delivering FactSet's Entity and Private Market data at scale.Responsibilities:Design, build and maintain scalable and reliable Entity and Content publishing pipelinesDesign and collaborate on architecture with other Engineering leadersAccelerate technical implementation procedures while meeting deadlines to deliver critical content sets aligning with FactSet's Entity and Private Markets strategyWork closely with other team members to establish and maintain best development practicesCollaborate with product owner in creating specifications, identifying core features, and prioritizing tasksCollaborate with other Team Leads across FactSet's various locations to avoid technical duplication and align with objectives set by Content EngineeringParticipate in leadership opportunities for Content Engineering including recruiting, training, and technical development.Minimum Requirements:5+ years of technical contributions to high performing software solutionsCritical Skills:Experience using Python, Pandas dataframesExperience working with Dask or other distributed computing frameworksExperience working with AWS or other cloud providersExperience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration systemsAbility to communicate effectively with peers within the organizationAbility to contribute to code review feedback for other engineers and contribute to forward design ideasAdditional/Desired Skills:Experience working with large datasetsExperience with Scrum, Kanban or Agile software development in generalEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent experienceFactSet is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran & Disabled Referrals for all of our locations within the stateThe EEO is the Law poster is available here.FactSet Research Systems Inc. endeavors to make our website accessible to any and all users.
