The company is best known for helping to launch the careers of artists such as Jorja Smith, Billie Eilish, Adekunle Gold and Victoria Mon?t. Platoon is seeking an experienced Music Content Operations Specialist to define and reliably execute distribution, rights management and artist support across Platoon's business. You will need to roll your sleeves up to get things done but also have a strategic, long term view to systematize and streamline everything we do. This role is a unique opportunity to help Platoon's efforts in an ever-evolving, critical area. As a player-coach you will work closely with artists, marketing and business teams in the day-to- day; to plan out releases and ensure they are set up, and go live seamlessly. The ideal candidate will have the right combination of entrepreneurial hustle, experience working with music content and a focus on detail to make things run smoothly. Key Qualifications 5-7 years music production experience for a reputable label or distributor in a management position. Passion for contemporary Pop, Soul/RnB, African and Hip- Hop and genres. Demonstrable experience of digital music distribution, including the systems and metadata required to support it. Experience working with artists or management companies to plan the logistics of key releases. Deep knowledge of Apple, Spotify and Youtube products and metadata specs, and CMS'. Be able to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment. Demonstrable success collaborating with product teams and engineering. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple audiences and partners. Results-oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong passion to learn and succeed. An ability to see the big picture and work through areas of ambiguity. Flexible and versatile in nature, able to take on challenges while maintaining and even keep and sense of humor. Exhibit confidence in calling out issues and presenting to senior management on project status and schedules. Prior experience in sync and licensing (label or music supervision) is a plus. Comfortable with data and driving results through KPI's. Skilled with Excel, Numbers, Tableau and/or similar analytical applications. Description Collaborate with others to onboard new artists to Platoon, and ensure release campaigns go live perfectly. Advise music and marketing teams regarding release plans, lead-times and due dates. Approve, deliver, and ensure flawless go-live of content at DSPs and licensors. Manage operational relationships with distribution partners Provide Artist Support that puts artists needs first. Manage PLATOON's rights and UGC claims on platforms like Youtube. Oversee registering of recordings on PPL / Sound Exchange and ongoing claims management. Collaborate with key stakeholders (legal, tax, policy, support etc) to prepare new features for launch. Strategize with the wider Product & Business team to build the best platform for Artists. Oversee testing and bug reviews of new features on the Platoon platform. Strive for continuous improvement, and boundary-pushing initiatives. Education & Experience College Degree Preferred.
