Equifax is looking to hire a Senior Kubernetes Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering Solutions team (they design and build public cloud solutions globally at Equifax). The Automation Engineer will help develop, manage and execute plans for deploying changes, improving reliability and performance, boarding user groups, and improving the services provided by the technology team that supports software development tools. This is a high visibility role that is revolutionizing how Equifax delivers systems and software.

What You'll Do


  • Contribute as a (senior) DevOps team member focused on modernization and automation specific to containerization and public cloud infrastructure related technologies.
  • Be a champion for DevOps principles and culture change
  • Design and implement orchestration/workflows that integrate multiple services to provide self-service fully automated services.
  • Be responsible for working on building, automating, and supporting application and infrastructure deployment services that target Equifax's Public Cloud Environments.
  • Design and implement monitoring and self-healing processes
  • Identify and Implement Process Improvements and documentation
  • Develop and document operations run books
  • Utilize engineering and programming skills focused on enabling a DevOps model
  • Guide and mentor teammates from a technical perspective
  • Participate in and provide feedback on systems engineering and design
  • Provide input on the future execution of the delivery and management of environments with a strong emphasis on automation, security, scalability and resilience
What experience you need

  • BS or Associate's Degree/Technical Certification or equivalent job experience required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience across Infrastructure/Cloud Automation Engineering, and/or Containerization and/or Software Engineering/Development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Kubernetes and/or container related technologies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using tools/technologies to develop infrastructure as code (IAC) (such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Azure Resource Manager, AWS CloudFormation, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using or integrating CI/CD technologies (such as Jenkins, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus)

What could set you apart

  • Experience designing/developing Policy as Code
  • Experience in system administration for OS (Linux, Windows) and/or middleware (web servers, application servers, database)
  • Experience working in a hybrid cloud environment or transforming applications from on-premise data centers to public cloud
  • Experience with one or more Public Cloud Providers (Google, Amazon, Azure)
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite Tools, Atlassian Confluence, and JIRA
  • Public Cloud, CKA, or other relevant technical certifications
  • Demonstrable experience managing schedules, scope, and risk, with appropriate reporting of status and variance.
  • Experience with scripting tools such as Bash and PowerShell
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Pulumi
  • A professional understanding of enterprise/corporate environment infrastructure and application components.
  • A sound understanding of SDLC Methodologies including Scrum and Agile Principles
  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams and facilitate conversations that lead to agreed direction
