Job Description:

The Department of Children and Families, Office of Education has an immediate need for a Career & Technical Education (CTE) teacher in the Mercer Campus. A Culinary Arts teacher is preferred.

This position plans, executes, and evaluates the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class, or classes; performing these duties exercising independent judgment and with a comprehensive knowledge of department rules, regulations, and policies; does related work. This position will be located in Trenton, NJ. This position will also be shared with our Cherry Hill Campus.

Please note that schools within OOE have a 12-month school year.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: Position requires possession of a valid standard teacher certification or valid Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) issued by the NJ Department of Education.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Experience with teaching special needs and/or at-risk youth preferred.

NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move and position students as needed.

LICENSE: Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

SALARY: $58,031.09 - $94,376.42 commensurate with certificate and experience.
