Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Supply Chain Manager located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Manager serves as the primary customer-facing role regarding materials and supply chain management for assigned customers and its programs within the Flex Lifestyle Segment. The Supply Chain Manager will attend to customer and operational issues regarding the flow of material into and out of Flex Lifestyle in support of the Customer’s programs and ensure overall customer satisfaction regarding incoming material and supply chain management.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Develop the material and supply chain support strategy for all assigned customers and programs and ensure agreement within the Flex organization regarding the strategy.

  • Provide support to Flex Lifestyle account management teams regarding customer issues and questions on materials and supply chain management.

  • Seeking to align customer orders (demand) with materials availability and production capacity.

  • Identify and facilitate the implementation of processes and supply chain changes that will improve the profitability and asset utilization for Flex Lifestyle with assigned customers while ensuring acceptable levels of customer service and cost performance.

  • Provide timely information to account management as to compliance issues regarding customer MSA provisions on materials (inventory levels, order lead-time, incoming material prices).

  • Provide remedies and recommendations for improvement to the account management team for customer consideration.

  • Lead for quote development regarding all materials required for new business opportunities customers.

  • Supports the business development activities for assigned customers (Presenting information to customers regarding supply chain management practices and capabilities).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • Bachelor´s Degree (engineering, manufacturing, or a related. MBA preferred.

  • Exceptional program management skills having managed multiple, complex programs simultaneously.

  • Advanced English, spoken and written.

  • Senior experience in one or more disciplines of supply chain management and operations. (demand planning, purchasing, materials management, manufacturing, assembly & test, logistics or other related areas.)

  • Understanding of effective supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated success in customer relationship management. (Sales or Support. Experience interacting with external customers on a direct “person to person” basis).

  • Experience in non-confrontational issue resolution with customers (both internal and external).

  • Leadership skills.

  • Negotiation skills in achieving favorable cost and service provisions.

  • Highly motivated and able to effectively achieve results in a largely autonomous work environment.

  • Ability to influence and successfully lead in a fast-paced, matrix-reporting, multi-cultural environment.

  • Candidate must be able to travel internationally (Up to 30%) as required and be able to work evenings, as required, to support meetings across multiple geographic time zones.

  • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications.
