Market Solutions Strategy and Performance is an organization within the Health Plan Business Market Solutions organization. The organization is responsible for the overall business operations of the Market Solutions division, including strategy development, financial performance, and market messaging. The Director of Emerging Solutions & Portfolio Management reports to the head of Market Solutions Strategy and Performance and is responsible for identifying, exploring, evaluating, and prioritizing new solution concepts and managing the overall solution portfolio for the Market Solutions division, including ensuring that the multi-year strategic solution roadmap represents the top priorities and opportunities for the Health Plan Business line of business.
Lead a team of strategy experts to develop relationships and collaborate across HPB and the broader enterprise to advance initiatives and drive change.
Assess the competitive landscape to identify and prioritize market needs by interacting / collaborating with HPB and Enterprise strategy teams, HPB Segment Leaders, and Customers; analyzing Customer RFP trends; and keeping abreast of competitor / vendor strategies and offerings.
Oversee the Market Solutions initiative pipeline. Own the new product concept vetting and prioritization process.
Lead and collaborate on Market Solution’s multi-year strategy formation, development, testing and roll out including development of metrics and key performance indicators.
Develop, maintain, refine, and own the Market Solutions multi-year strategy and product roadmap ensuring it is relevant and responsive to market and customer dynamics.
Develop the business cases for, craft strategy and drive initial strategic development of solutions built around specific customer and consumer needs in support of HPB’s broader strategy and roadmap. Hand off to Solution Development and Delivery Organization for implementation and ownership while maintaining a consultative relationship to ensure strategic intent is met.
Develop, maintain and refine the comprehensive value story for HPB Market Solutions, ensuring that market messaging aligns with the Market Solutions strategic roadmap and HPB priorities. Determine how solutions are communicated in the market.
Manage the Market Solutions product portfolio, business operations and divisional reporting.
Bachelor’s Degree in health care, strategy, economics, business administration, or other related technical field required. Master’s degree preferred.
5 years of experience in health care industry required, preferably in a consulting or strategy function.
5 years of leadership experience required.
Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive strategic planning and / or business development experience.
Program management and project management experience.
Strong financial background and experience.
Extensive experience collaborating with organizations across an enterprise to develop and implement critical business initiatives.
Ability to interpret and recommend qualitative and quantitative market research.
