RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE

This position is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the finance, tax, and human resource departments on a variety of stock compensation-related processes and initiatives. Successful candidate will learn about Chubb’s stock compensation activities and the impact on Chubb’s financial position and reported financial results. The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager of Financial Reporting and will be a pivotal team member of the Finance unit of SEC. The Financial Analyst will interact with a diverse group of internal financial personnel, including other financial analysts and managers, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret financial data related to stock compensation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Receive and maintain confidential and sensitive employee stock compensation information and ensure security of this information

  • Be a key team member in the stock compensation inter-company billing project initiative with an opportunity to streamline the process and create positive change

  • Prepare and distribute inter-company invoices to segment business partners on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Monitor for the recording of stock compensation activities by segments as a result of inter-company billings and follow-up as necessary to ensure timely and accurate recording

  • Analyze/research monthly/quarterly equity-related ledger balances and out-of-balances using queries and other system reports

  • Prepare monthly inter-company billing journal entries

  • Prepare and assist with quarterly equity-related account reconciliations

  • Assist with other stock compensation and equity-related process improvement initiatives, as assigned

Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business with a major in Accounting, preferred

  • Up to two (2) years of accounting or auditing experience; familiarity with U.S. GAAP is greatly valued

  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Word experience required

  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work independently

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines

  • Proven problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
