Job Description:

The Base Area Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Base Area Maintenance Manager with overseeing the landscape maintenance; snow removal; handling of trash and recyclable waste streams; cleaning of restrooms, lobbies, hallways and staircases; minor repair and maintenance of base area facilities; and other duties as assigned. The Base Area Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Base Area Maintenance Manager with developing and maintaining programs, policies, trainings, and procedures related to department duties. The Base Area Maintenance Supervisor will also assist with department staffing responsibilities.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
Assist the BAMS Manager with hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, discipling, and rewarding staffOversee BAMS staff when Manager is offAttend manager and supervisor meetings and trainingsHelps to disseminate information to staffResponsible for assisting the BAMS Manager with all payroll and time informationResponsible for preforming and overseeing the general cleaning and maintenance of outdoor public spaces daily including but not limited to scrubbing stains, sweeping, organizing furniture, maintaining trash and recycling receptaclesResponsible for assisting the BAMS Manager with keeping supplies stocked for cleaningResponsible for assisting the BAMS Manager with overseeing the cleaning and trash removal throughout the Resort Center base area, and base area buildings, and Kachina BasinResponsible for assisting the BAMS Manager with overseeing the snow removal throughout the base area and at Kachina Basin using shovels, snow blowers, de-icing agents, sand, and/or gravel. Expected to operate heavy equipment with proper training Support the BAMS Manager with training staff on snow removal policies and equipmentResponsible for assisting the BAMS Manager with oversight of the Taos Verde Program of waste stream managementOperate company vehicles and equipment including 4wd trucks, snow blowers, and heavy equipment (training provided)Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdaysOther duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Good leadership skillsDemonstrates safety consciousness including understanding and instituting BAMS policies and proceduresPossess a valid drivers license, clean driving record, and successful pass of MVR checkMust be 21 years of age or older per insurance requirements, if driving/operating heavy equipment including 4wd trucksKnowledge of methods and techniques for cleaning and sanitation of public restrooms and other facilitiesBasic knowledge of repair and maintenance skills and/or ability to learn quicklyBasic ability to ski or snowboard, preferredEducational requirements include: High School Diploma or equivalentStrong customer service skill setAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings

Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentTSVI is located in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold and/or humid conditions.

Physical Demands of Position Include:
Able to lift at least fifty pounds on a daily basisLengthy sitting positions in snow removal equipmentOn your feet and on the move at least 80% of the day ensuring staff is on task and supported
