Utility Operator at Nucor Corporation in Sheridan, Arkansas

Job Description:

Basic Job Functions:



The role of the Utility Operator is to safely carry-out the duties required at the Sheridan Arkansas facility including but not limited to; Must be a team player, be able to lift 60 lbs,, able to operate hand tools, grinders, banding equipment, nail guns, scrapers. Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects, and be responsible for daily quality checks. Must be available to work overtime hours to include nights, weekends as needed. Have to availability to read a tape measure, micrometer, squares, etc., and do basic math to determine product accuracy.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent

Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
