The Pathology Data and Digital Coordinator provides subject matter expert input and context-conscious assistance to pathology team needs and requests. This position serves as a liaison between pathology and their various laboratory operations stakeholders to facilitate initiatives, provides expert guidance, and ensures collaborative success. The Pathology Data and Digital Coordinator also maintains a high degree of flexibility and can cover other pathology needs as requested.
The Coordinator will be onsite at either our Cambridge location in Massachusetts (150 Second St) OR our location at Research Triangle Park in Morrisville, North Carolina. There is one shift for this position from 8:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities
Support Biopharma Partner Digital Pathology Image Products: identification of images according to what has been requested, review for scanning quality and PHI, complete request manifest used for script, transfer to clinical operations for delivery by contracted deadlines.
Assist in the competency process for Pathologist: will gather appropriate number of slides, images or orders requested for performing competency evaluation for Path Review, Report Approval and Immunohistochemistry Path Review and Sign-out.
Request quarterly data pull from systems to maintain Pathology Dashboard; LIMS, Power BI and other systems as required.
Collaborate directly with PDM service leadership, laboratory medical directors, lab operations staff, and Quality Assurance (QA) to initiate, investigate, and complete nonconformance reports (NCR) and corrective action and preventative action (CAPA) documentation to meet deadlines and KPIs.
Support identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives for pathology and lab ops collaboration, to better serve business needs, especially with the Process Excellence Team.
Represent pathology as appropriate at relevant lab system/information technology meetings and participates in User Acceptance testing of applications prior to and during software updates.
Assist Pathology Team interdepartmental collaboration for any laboratory operations or company requests.
Ability to occasionally travel to FMI's other sites.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or advanced education, particularly a Bachelor of Science degree in biological or life sciences; OR
3+ years of experience in a laboratory operations or relevant role
Preferred Qualifications
2+ year of professional experience in a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments/ College of American Pathologists certified laboratory
2+ years of experience collaborating interdepartmentally in a biomedical setting
Computer proficiency, strong typing, and data entry skills
Relevant experience in a regulated laboratory environment (such as CLIA/CAP)
Familiarity with Laboratory Operations functionality
Familiarity with Pathology team functionalities
Demonstrated ability to:
