Your Role:
At EMD Electronics in Branchburg, NJ, the Controls Engineer will build a state-of-the-art production process using digitalization to fulfill our customers' expectations of product quality and process control. This will be accomplished by managing the planning and processes of multiple capex projects on site while collaborating with the Production, Quality, Facilities, and R&D teams to deliver engineering solutions. You will build a culture of EHS Excellence by identifying Environmental, Health and Safety improvements and managing contractors with respect to all codes and policies. You will engage with the global project team to develop and implement a distributed control system for the site that will deliver automated data collection. You will demonstrate good project management skills by documenting all aspects of the projects (incl. design, timeline, cost tracking, drawings). You will bring forward continuous improvement opportunities that will advance our process control and data analytics capabilities.
Position may include up to 20% travel by car and/or plane.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or other technical discipline
3+ experience with PLC programming and/or developing DCS systems
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in capital project execution
Knowledge in process control design and applications in process industries especially for Semiconductor Industries
Experience in leading and motivating a team
Advanced understanding of industry wide technology trends and best practices
Acumen for process design engineering and process development
Ability to work in cross-functional teams with strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of CAD software
