Financial Aid Compliance Manager at University of Houston - Victoria in Victoria, Texas

Job Description:

Manages the interpretation of federal, state, and institutional regulations for awarding of student financial aid to ensure compliance; performs analysis of financial aid data for benchmarking and reporting.

1. Researches, reviews, and interprets financial aid regulations, and ensures compliance with these regulations through planning with director.


2. Tracks and assesses institutional financial aid data, analyzes data, and compares data with other institutions for benchmarking and strategic planning.


3. Manages financial aid query and equation development in student system through collaboration with PeopleSoft Student Administration team members.


4. Manages the information for the setup of financial aid awarding and disbursement processes in PeopleSoft Student Administration; assists with processing of financial aid packages as needed.


5. Manages the preparation and submission of federal, state and institutional reports, audit responses, and applications to participate in federal and state programs, as directed.


6. Manages and reports receipt and recordkeeping of grant, loan, and scholarship allocations and accounts through collaboration with accountant.


7. Assists director with development and preparation of training materials for staff and educational materials and programs for students.


8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
