EDI Specialist at Arhaus in Boston Heights, Ohio

Job Description:

Exciting and energetic company in need of an individual with skills to support the company’s daily EDI infrastructure. The EDI Specialist will need to have experience in EDI, technical support, logistics and transportation operations, data analysis and vendor relations.

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to: maintenance of existing systems and monitoring data flow, researching any EDI data discrepancies (internal and external), assist with report analysis and the setting up new EDI vendors. This individual must be a task-oriented self-starter, with a strong aptitude for learning new concepts and the ability to understand multiple applications systems and how they integrate and utilize the EDI data. This person will also assist with new initiatives, onboarding of new systems and assist as a subject matter expert in projects. The ability to be able to jump into new projects and initiatives quickly is a plus. 


Responsibilities:



  • Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders and technology partners

  • Effectively and clearly communicate with other employees in all departments and levels of management

  • Partner with our EDI provider to implement change requests

  • Work with our Third Party Logistics (3PL) companies and Freight Forwarder to resolve EDI data issues and implement new and changed features

  • Act as a technical liaison between Arhaus business team and Freight Forwarder to address any booking issues or problems

  • Assist in the resolution of EDI data errors with our merchandise vendors (trading partners)

  • Assist in the resolution of EDI data errors with 3PL provider (delivery companies)

  • Assist in the resolution of EDI data errors internally submitted by Arhaus

  • Monitor any EDI related help desk tickets on a daily basis

  • Onboard new 3PLs and other trading partners as required

  • Provide test transactions for their testing and certification process

  • Monitor data flow through our EDI provider and our ERP system

  • Enable EDI for our merchandise vendors in our ERP system

  • Perform regression testing of the EDI functions in our ERP system during system upgrades and any weekly packet installations related to EDI

  • Work on project teams to solve business problems with technological solutions

  • Perform research related tasks when asked by business stakeholders (3PL or Vendor related)

  • Demonstrate perpetual learning and improvement

  • Critically think and work through problems in confident and timely manner

  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with EDI

  • SPS Commerce knowledge is a plus

  • Understanding of the EDI X12 standards and Specifications as it relates to Arhaus

  • In depth knowledge of EDI transaction sets relating to purchasing, logistics and transportation

  • Including but not limited to 850, 860, 855, 865, 856, 810, 215, 214

  • General business understanding of the purchasing, logistics and transportation disciplines

  • Experience with an ERP system integrating with EDI

  • Understanding fixed length file integration is a plus

  • Experience with elementary SQL querying and familiarity with databases

  • Data analysis skills for reporting and analytics of EDI data

  • Ability to research and draw conclusions based on data using critical thinking and in-depth problem solving

  • Experience communicating with outside business partners, including international vendors in non-technical jargon

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and Word
