Job Description:


Be an agent of change on a team committed to achieving client-focused, mission-driven excellence. Steampunk is looking for a Financial Analyst. The candidate must have superb attention to detail, work well in a team environment and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


Key Responsibilities:

Steampunk Corporate Finance

  • Facilitate monthly, quarlerly, and annual budget creation.
  • Update and maintain budget P&L file.
  • Maintain and update G&A and overhead budgets and G&A and overhead spend.
  • Provide monthly G&A and overhead budget analysis.
  • Reconcile revenue, direct cost, gross margin, overhead, and G&A to P&L.
  • Provide P&L forecast to actual comparison.
  • Provide support in receiving and apportioning budget allocations for the organization.
  • Work with portfolio finance directors to consolidate monthly project and portfolio forecasts.
  • Track and verify changes to the consolidated business plan.
  • Create and Maintain monthly and annual accounting calendar.
  • Update and maintain cost pools and integrate cost pools into the budget file.
  • Provide support in receiving and apportioning budget allocations for the organization.
  • Act as focal point of the finance organization for financials.

Relationships with Others' Jobs:

  • Report to FP&A finance director.
  • Collaborate and work closely with portfolio finance directors and CFO.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers throughout the company.


  • Bachelor's degree in either finance or accounting.
  • 3 years of federal government contracting financial analysis.
  • Advanced level skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Costpoint and Cognos required
