St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Patient Access Representative (Pool) to join our team!
This position rotates in various areas of Patient Access throughout the medical center and may work a variety of shifts. The Patient Access Representative:
Greets, pre-registers and/or registers patients in a courteous and professional manner.
Verifies insurance benefits and checks for the necessity of pre-certification, authorization and referral.
Performs medical necessity checks where needed.
This role is responsible for providing professional, quality customer service, timely resolution to customer problems, and coordination of services to all customers.
The position functions to communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients, physicians, physician office staff and other hospital colleagues.
High School Graduate or equivalency required
Technical School/1 Year College preferred
