Some of the anticipated duties would include: Maintain insect colonies; Run insecticide trials; Conduct phone interviews; Photograph samples; Organize files; Archive and cross-reference collections
This student position will be supporting the Veterinary Entomology research lab. Incumbent(s) will assist in maintaining insect colonies, running insecticide trials, conducting phone interviews, photographing research samples, organizing lab files, and archiving and cross-referencing collections.
Good interpersonal skills, phone etiquette, and laboratory practices are preferred. Candidate should be willing to learn and develop new skills and abilities. Ability to work alone with minimal supervision as well as in groups.
Long hours outside in summer heat as well as sitting for long periods of time. Driving. Long periods of sitting or standing in lab environment.
