Job Description Summary
The Senior Associate Director for Wharton Facilities will provide leadership, direction, support and development to the Wharton Facilities team. This position is responsible for the day to day oversight of all facilities related issues at the Wharton campus which is approx. 1,000,000 square feet and consists of 9 buildings: Robbins House, Colonial Penn Center, Lauder Institute, Jon M. Huntsman Hall, Steinberg-Dietrich Hall, Steinberg Conference Center, Vance Hall, Academic Research Building and Tangen Hall.


The Senior Associate Director will supervise three Building Managers and a Senior Building Administrator. In addition to partnering with the University Facilities and Real Estate Services division to prioritize, track and coordinate work, the Senior Associate Director of Facilities will oversee security, life safety programs, locking and key request and card access hardware equipment. The Senior Associate Director will also assist in the planning and development of school wide projects and in building operations and project management with 3rd party building management services (like Jones Lang LsSalle and ARAMARK) operating at Steinberg Conference Center, Tangen Hall and St. Leonards Court (or other local, leased spaces like FMC).


The Senior Associate Director will also provide facilities support and direction in Wharton's other leased spaces, as needed, including PWCC and San Francisco.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
* Experience leading facilities & maintenance required.
* Ability to move multiple projects forward at the same time.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve issues/emergencies.
* Must have strong analytic, problem-solving and organizational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Available during non-traditional work hours including evenings/nights and weekends.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
