Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Treasury Analyst. - Boca Raton, FL.
The department has identified this position to be classified as essential personnel during and after emergencies, disasters or other events as deemed appropriate by FAU.
Summary of responsibilities include:
Process ACH Manual payments online for various departments.
Assess the University's cash position, ensuring adequate cash balances to meet daily cash requirements and optimizing investment potential.
Monitoring and maintaining all University bank and investment accounts.
Prepare daily investment entries and account transfers within Workday to reflect daily investments or liquidations.
Process/approve transactional journal entries in Workday to reflect activities on University bank accounts.
Prepare Cash Sales entries in Workday as processed by departments.
Initiate/Process stop payments/cancel issue in Workday and bank system.
Approve check & ACH positive pay exceptions in bank system.
Approve close of stop payments and reissuing in Workday.
Prepare monthly interest calculations, reconciliation of investments and year-end fair value adjustments.
Process monthly allocation of interest income and recording of investments.
Approve monthly bank analysis and credit card fees, and interest entries in Workday.
Responsible for annual Unclaimed Property filing and monthly reconciliation of items for various departments.
Respond to Treasury email inquiries.
Reads all correspondence and knows, or interprets existing policies and procedures related to specific functions and carries out procedures accordingly.
Develops necessary systems and procedures to support the area of responsibility.
Keep abreast of economic changes and impact on University investments.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Experience in Financial Management, Accounting, Treasury Services, or related discipline in a high-volume environment, required.
High degree of accuracy working with financial data.
Excel skills, including complex formulas in order to organize and analyze data.
Communication - excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with senior leadership required.
Analytical - solid analytical skills geared towards troubleshooting, with the ability to solve complex problems using simple solutions. Handle conflicting priorities and goals.
Team Player - strong people skills and outstanding customer service to support community effectively
Salary:$58,000 - $63,000 per year

Work Days and Hours:Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with additional hours during peak times of the fiscal year.
