Advertised Job Summary:

The Division of Human Resources is seeking an experienced trainer to join our growing team as the Human Resources Trainer.


The Human Resources Trainer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of HR training initiatives to ensure HR actions across the university system are completed in compliance with federal and state regulations. The Human Resources Trainer coordinates the training program(s) to be provided to Division of Human Resources Staff as well as training program(s) to HR Contacts across the UofSC system of campuses.


The Human Resources Trainer has in-depth knowledge and understanding of all UofSC HR policies, processes, and HR systems and creates thorough training modules appealing to the various adult learning styles. The Human Resources Trainer builds and strengthens HR related policy, procedural, and system knowledge, confidence, and competence among all who serve in any HR capacity across the university system.


The Human Resources Trainer develops job aids and resource materials for all training programs and creates and maintains standard operating procedures for the division of HR. The Human Resources Trainer ensures job aids, resources, and standard operating procedures are kept up to date and accurate.


Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree and 1 year training and development experience, or bachelor's degree and 3 years training and development experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer experience in Human Resources.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of best practices in adult learning and e-learning technologies. Ability to collaborate with others. Knowledge of USC HR Policies and regulations as well as state and federal regulations.
