The purpose of this position is to provide expertise, leadership and management primarily in Corporate Travel and N. America Fleet Vehicle Program Management. An integral part of this position is to develop, recommend actions, and implement changes in the global travel program for associates and travel providers. As the company expands its global footprint, this position requires analyzing, auditing, and improvement of activities in a proactive manner.

Additional responsibilities include providing backup support for Concur Expense management and BAML Corp. card program administration, as well as managing the mail room through third party provider (Ricoh).

Responsibilities :


  • Analyze Timken travel data, assist in the negotiation and practical application of supplier relations related to airlines, hotels, car rental agencies and vehicle fleet management program organizations. Practical applications include training of associates across N. America, communications to associates and suppliers, as well as travel related news items.
  • Oversee periodic audits of suppliers for adherence to negotiated contracts. Take appropriate action to ensure compliance.
  • Advise on the development of the global travel policy and procedures to maximize savings and service potential. Provide guidance on travel and fleet policy issues.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of in-house travel agents. Manage all day-to-day activities of N. American vehicles fleet (~400 vehicles), including compliance with IRS regulations for mileage reporting and state laws for MVR reporting. Analyze new vehicle models to provide optimum selector list for associates, while taking into account variables such as cost, size, safety, residual value, and company policies.
  • Assist with Corporate Jet logistical support as needed in conjunction w/ BCD Travel and Manager of Aviation Services.
  • Manages the relationship w/ Mail room third party provider (Ricoh).
  • Coordinate and manage Insurance coverage on fleet vehicles w/ Insurance agent (Schauer)
  • Assist with expense management reporting issues/policy and Corporate credit card administration support as needed and as a primary backup of Business Services Analyst role.

Technical/Functional Skills Required :


  • Strong attention to detail, goal oriented, along w/ negotiation skills
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at the same time
  • Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, SAP knowledge a plus
  • Analytical Skills
  • Good understanding of the organizational structure of the Company
  • Customer service (internal & external)
  • Problem solving skills

Basic Qualifications :


  • Minimum: Associate degree in Business Management or similar
  • Preferred: Bachelor in Business Management or similar
  • Minimum 4 years experience in Business Management, Analytical, Customer Service or related role.
