About this role:

The Associate Director of Speaker Sourcing and Management is a critical role in the recruitment and preparation of our speakers to ensure we provide maximum value to our attendees and our speakers have the best possible experience at our conferences. The Associate Director is charged with the oversight of our invited guest speaker strategy, optimizing speaker onboarding as well as the operational effectiveness of the team.

What you'll do:


  • Optimize the overall operational efficiency of the speaker management team through process improvements, resource creation, collaboration with key stakeholders and training.
  • Continually refine value proposition and tools to support speaker invitation process.
  • Identify, secure, and cultivate external partnerships for new talent pipeline.
  • Generate and nurture leads from internal partnerships, social media campaigns and speaker alumni outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and pilot new speaking formats for invited speakers.
  • Scale training tools and personalized coaching of select invited speakers.
  • Create a tool kit for speaker's own promotion of their participation at Gartner Conferences.
  • Develop, maintain, and action speaker management performance metrics and support the execution of a speaker management results database.
What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in addition to 7-10 years of business operations experience
  • Strong background in speaker management event experience, preferably at a speaker's bureau.
  • A proven track record of leading successful teams and initiatives in a high-performance culture, and in a matrix environment.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to handle complex situations.
  • Excellent verbal and people management skills.
  • An exceptional thinker and collaborator, with an ability to drive change.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights to maximize our investments.
  • Ability to interact with confidence and credibility and develop relationships with high-profile speakers, technology corporate executives and internal associates.
  • Demonstrate a passion for staying abreast of current events in technology and business.
  • Proven track record of diplomacy and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to accommodate moderate travel, including international.
