Job Purpose

Support the delivery of complex contracts, subcontracts, grants and perform related administrative tasks in support of USAID funded projects and help power a just energy transition for all.

Job Description

As the Contracts Specialist in our Arlington, VA headquarters, you will have the chance to provide contractual advice to project offices across the globe. Working with other members of our team, you'll prepare documentation, including but not limited to RFQs and RFPs, evaluation memos, negotiation memos, and commercial item determinations. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity to support international technical staff and offices by determining appropriate acquisition instruments based on project requirements and ensure compliance with government contracting requirements such as FAR and AIDAR.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business administration, international development, or a related degree (directly related experience may be substituted for a degree)
  • 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations System and AIDAR

Preferred Qualifications


  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Prior work experience with federal procurements (i.e.: Department of Defense, MCC, EPA, etc.).
  • Excellent negotiating and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Word.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Fluency in a foreign language.
