Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Assists with the daily operations of the company owned Retail outlets for Harrah's and Harveys Lake Tahoe. Responsible for performing operational duties, such as scheduling, training, maintaining time & attendance records, and reconciliation of invoices and purchase orders.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Supervises and professionally develops the potential of Retail personnel. Assumes and performs other supervisory responsibilities as assigned. Provides on-the-job direction for all Retail Associates in the delivery of excellent guest service
  • Reconciles Invoices/Purchase Orders for all Retail services.
  • Responsible for scheduling and training for Retail outlets.
  • Assists the Retail Manager with data-entry of Purchase Orders.
  • Reconciles over/shorts, including monthly data input.
  • Responsible for following up with Accounting regarding invoices.
  • Meets with Inventory Control on a regular basis regarding any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Assists the Retail Manager in contacting vendors for credit on shortages and/or damages.
  • Assists in reviewing and successfully resolving any procurement problem which may occur between a vendor and Harrah's, including disagreements on product suitability and/or specifications, delivery delays, quantity or pricing variances, etc
  • Assists with merchandising on sales floor.
  • Assists with preparation for Inventory for all retail outlets, including inventory counts as well and reconciliation.
  • Coordinates as necessary with other departments or properties directly involved in the procurement process such as Warehouse, Accounts Payable and property business offices to ensure the timely and effective execution of their responsibilities.
  • Downloads scanner data to database and assists the preparation and evaluation of performance reports.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years college preferred
  • Two years previous experience in Retail
  • Supervisor and leadership experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Excellent leadership, guest service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good relationship building skills; must be able to effectively lead and motivate others
  • Demonstrated ability of teamwork with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of all areas of Customer Service
  • Good math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business
  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same

  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:


  • Mobility and dexterity to bend, crouch, turn, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to respond to visual and verbal cues
  • Mobility to move quickly about the property
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds
