Job Summary:

The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Provides specialized professional nursing care through skillful assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with client policies and procedures under the supervision of the clients Nurse Manager. Maintains a safe work environment and performs all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs of the patients served and incorporates this knowledge and concern into daily care delivery.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. At least one year of current experience as a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse in the area of practice within the past two years preferred.

Licenses/Certification: Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. Current RN license from the District of Columbia Department of Health and BLS. ACLS certified.

Experience: Two years of hospital experience preferred.
