Hotel Operator - Part-Time (Harrah's Joliet Casino) at Caesars Entertainment in Joliet, Illinois

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Receives all calls and processes calls efficiently and professionally.
• Accurately performs wake-up calls and message services as requested.
• Provides excellent service by responding immediately to guest inquiries, requests, or complaints; and directs them to the appropriate party as necessary.
• Follows proper procedures for paging guests both internally and externally .
• Maintains knowledge of hotel, casino, community and special events in order to accurately provide guests with needed information.
• Demonstrates a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
• Assist with additional amenities as required.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
• Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Most possess superior customer service skills.
• Previous experience in PBX, functioning as an operator and hospitality experience preferred.
• Most possess a pleasant and easily comprehendible voice.
• Computer skills and typing skills are necessary for success in this position.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

JOB DEMANDS:

• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and employees.
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke.
• Physically mobile including ability to lift up to 20lbs., and ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when stocking, storing and maneuvering around the work area.
