Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supply Chain Leadership Program located in Austin, TX.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Solutions Manager, the Supply Chain Leadership Program will be part of our Flex´s SCLP Program. In this role you will be apart of a mobile team of problem-solvers who lead high-priority projects across core Supply Chain functions. This is a management rotation program that places our highest potential business leaders into the most critical business projects, high impact roles, and enables participants to make the best decisions for Flex. Program graduates will have the breadth of experience across several aspects of Supply Chain and the depth of business knowledge to be key future business leaders.

Participants will complete four 6-month rotations, one of which will be located internationally, across the core areas of our Global Procurement & Supply Chain (GPSC) organization while reporting directly to senior management.

What a typical day looks like:


  • Supply Chain Solutions:  Lead, create, and design world class supply chain management and real-time information tools to drive strategic supply chain objectives

  • Global Logistics:  Direct the activities of distribution, ensure continuous logistics improvement, and build relationships with strategic suppliers through world-class efficiency and service

  • Strategic Supply Chain Management: Lead and design corporate strategic objectives and drive supply chain effectiveness to maintain Flex’s financial competitiveness. Plan, budget, and maintain costs and manage strategic supplier and/or customer relationships

  • Global Commodity Management: Guide selection and development of core strategic suppliers; design and setup new supply sourcing strategies, negotiate pricing, and complete/renew contracts

  • Advanced Sourcing: Drive Flex’s global solutions design, setup, and implementation to enable competitive time to market for NPI and maximize strategic supplier relationships

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:


  • 3-6 years of supply chain management experience including supervision

  • Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills

  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business

  • Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site

  • Required to travel internationally for 6 months

  • MBA or MS Supply Chain Management (Highly preferred)
