What will I be doing?

Lead Quality Engineer SDET will develop, manage and implement all phases of quality assurance testing, including analysis of product requirements to produce test requirements and development and execution of functional system test plans in a multi-tiered environment. To be successful in the role, the candidate should be able to solve sophisticated problems by conceiving and driving innovative technical QE solutions with in-depth hands-on technical expertise. The candidate will be responsible for a team of engineers and testing automation framework. 

More specifically, the candidate will:


  • Own and support testing as a member of an agile software development team

  • people leadership (performance and growth management), delivery and execution, and hands-on development

  • Manage the discovery and high-level design phases of major automation initiatives as well as driving day-to-day execution of projects and delivering achievements

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure a standard of engineering excellence among the direct reports

  • Contribute to Enterprise Test Automation Frameworks when needed

  • Lead a motivated, diverse, globally distributed team to deliver world-class products, through the testing of mobile (iOS and Android) and web integrated technologies using off-the-shelf test frameworks with custom components

To fulfill this role successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:


  • Seven (7) years of experience in Technology or a related field

  • Five (5) years of development experience using J2EE/Groovy Shell and DB SQL in Linux and Windows platforms

  • Five (5) years of experience with Micro services, Web Services testing using SOAP / REST based service, XML, and JSON

  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GIT and other relevant tools

  • Experience with Automation Frameworks and Automating Test cases using Commercial and Open source tools

  • Proficient with script and non-script based Functional tools such as Eclipse/IDE, Extent Reports, Test NG, Selenium, Test Complete, and QTP

  • Five (5) years of experience in creating frameworks that use and interact with DevOps tools such as Couchbase, JIRA, Stash, Bamboo, Confluence, Ready API – Soap UI Pro, Ready API – Service, Git, Jenkins

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:


  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience

  • Experience in creating Dashboard and the KPI customizations for SDLC metrics reporting for the test coverage, test, release status, etc.

  • Three (3) + years of experience leading and managing automated test teams

  • Experience in BDD/TDD, Agile/Scrum, and DevOps team, developed and maintained test sets

  • Hands-on combined experience in designing and developing Test Automation Frameworks and Automating Test Cases using Commercial and Open source tools

  • Solid experience in running distributed/parallel automation execution in Cloud (AWS) environment
