Job Description:

Michael Baker International is seeking a Civil Engineering Associate II to join our Water Resources team. This full-time position is based on-site in our client's office in Center City, Philadelphia and includes design and field inspection work. This position offers a unique opportunity to represent Michael Baker International in collaboration with our client daily. The Civil Engineering Associate II will support all aspects design and plan preparation for a variety of water resource projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Civil design of roadways, sewers, utilities, stormwater management facilities, erosion and sediment control plans, and drainage conveyance systems.
  • Tasks include hydrology and hydraulic calculations, drainage calculations, NPDES permitting, rough and precise grading, and cost estimates and specifications.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited University
  • 2 - 5 years related experience
  • E.I.T. certificate required
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
  • Experience in preparation of construction documents, design calculations, maps, basic reports and other supporting documentation to support civil design
  • Experience in preparation of quantities, cost estimates and project specific specifications
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

  • Professional Engineer license or on track to obtain
  • Strong technical background in drainage design, H&H calculations, and stormwater management design
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be self-starter, versatile and interested in working on a variety of projects supporting the Water Group
  • Goal oriented and Quality focused
  • MicroStation and OpenRoads skills

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $86,320. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
