Job Description:

PRO-telligent, A Tetra Tech Company is seeking a Network Engineer to provide IT technical support to a Department of State's (DoS) program in Springfield, VA. The position is available immediately. Requires a Top Secret clearance.

The Project

DoS/IRM/FO/ITI/LWS/FPT

(Department of State / Bureau of Information Resource Management / Foreign Operations / IT Infrastructure / LAN/WAN Services / Foreign Post Telephone Branch)

• Tetra Tech has supported IRM for more than 20 years
• Current contract end date is January 2026
• This is a hybrid onsite and remote role, but that is subject to change. For now, expect to be onsite 2-3 days a week.
• Dress code is casual dress attire

• Possess and apply knowledge regarding installation, maintenance, operation, and implementation of network transport solutions (primarily Layer 2).
• Configure and test Cisco routers and switches out of the box for deployment
• Configure, test, implement, and maintain networking (LAN/WAN) devices.
• Provide Tier 3 support to Overseas WLAN deployments and LAN/WAN networks
• Provide technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems operations
• Compile records and reports concerning network operations and maintenance
• Participate in design reviews, program reviews and technical meetings
• Provide documentation / drawings of network architecture and configurations

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching products
  
• Knowledge of network administration and engineering, LAN/WAN, routers, switches
  
• Working knowledge of IP subnetting, IP routing and troubleshooting IP-related issues
  
• Preferred knowledge of DMVPN and IPsec
  
• Knowledge with Cisco products, such as Prime and ISE are a plus
• VoIP and Wireless are a plus, but not required
• Able to work well in a team environment working with both contractor and Government personnel
• Able to work independent of supervision and self-motivated
• Excellent communication skills and well versed in Microsoft Office software
