The National Account Manager calls on assigned major or national accounts to cultivate relationships, identify opportunities, and increase sales.


  • Manages strategic corporate dentistry accounts
  • Drives top-line profitable sales against specific budget growth expectations within assigned accounts
  • Interacts with customer key players, independently or in collaboration with distributors/territory managers to build account management plan
  • Functions as the primary liaison between Dentsply Sirona and customers for market information, product definition, value differentiation, and partnership program implementation
  • Analyzes issues that impact customers and proactively communicate those issues with the appropriate internal work groups
  • Responsible for forecasting monthly sales
  • Prepares "LAMP" plan for assigned accounts and monitors performance to ensure that current and anticipated needs are met
  • Conducts selling presentations in both traditional and innovative ways that lead to successful and profitable customer relationships
  • Originates sales plans that result in attainment of established revenue goals, enhanced relationships with existing and new customers
  • Directs strategic planning, implementation, and support in assigned accounts to ensure quality and integration
  • Participates in the development of strategic plans for the accounts in order to resolve problems to the customers' and the company's satisfaction
  • Reports complaints in accordance to complaint handling process
  • May identify service requirements and programs required to grow these key accounts and ensure these are being met by working with the marketing, sales and internal support groups
  • Complies with company and departmental policies and with administrative requirements such as monthly and T&E reporting
  • Distributor Business Unit Responsibilities (Scope: All contract types (DPM, SMF, PHC)
  • Build account team relationship with appropriate DSR to collaboratively execute profitable account plan
  • Manage Formulary and DPM Contracts to drive growth
  • Manage and create Special Markets- Specific Marketing Programs
  • Execute Formulary Compliance Initiatives
  • Evaluates information to determine if feedback constitutes a complaint.
  • Identifies and manages all aspects of a project from inception to completion specific for National Account Manager
  • Address customer complaints in an appropriate and professional manner. Escalating concerns as required by current processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as may be necessary
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or relevant industry experience

Certifications/Licensing:


  • Valid driver's license is required

Years and Type of Experience:


  • Prior sales experience required, multi-year success in achieving sales targets
  • Dental Capital Equipment and Technology experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required within Capital equipment or technology
  • Experience partnering with dental distributors, preferred
  • Experience successfully executing sales strategies and building solid business relationships
