Internal Audit Manager for DH Pace Company, Inc. - Based at Corporate Office in Olathe, KS and will travel into our domestic operating divisions serving as the subject matter expert for compliance with policies and procedures across the organization and identifies opportunities for improving business processes.
Position Overview:
Work with division leaders to identify problem areas and strengthen business with process improvements
Act as company-wide internal controls expert to protect against risk and fraud and assist in breaking down identified barriers within the organization surrounding risk identification
Expand the organization-wide audit function to include reviews of policy and procedure, in addition to financial report accuracy
Evaluate the need for the audit function to grow to meet the growing needs of the company
Report on a regular basis to the company’s Board of Directors on matters of internal control and internal audit processes
In time will establish and lead Internal Audit team
Perform other job-related responsibilities and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum six (6) years’ accounting/auditing experience and preferably experience hiring, training and developing an internal audit team
Bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or Business preferred, as well as CPA or CIA preferred and Kaizen/Lean Six Sigma experience a plus
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills with keen attention to detail required
Possess highly analytical and process-oriented skills to include computer software proficiency; ERP experience highly preferred
Self-driven individual and team contributor with strong work ethic and an ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work Core Business Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday and this position travels 50% of the time to any/all of our DH Pace locations nation-wide
Successful completion of references, employment verifications, background check, and drug screen required in advance of hire; must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
