Legal Talent Coordinator at Cozen O'Connor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Cozen O'Connor is seeking a full time Legal Talent Coordinator.  The position will reside in Philadelphia, but assist with recruiting efforts for all offices.   The ideal candidate will have law firm experience, preferably experience with law student recruiting.   This position will report directly to Manager of Legal Talent and will also work closely with the Director of Legal Recruiting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for implementation of law student and lateral associate recruiting and hiring efforts.

  • Coordinate summer associate recruiting and hiring for U.S. and Canada offices

  • Manage the scheduling of on-campus interviews (“OCI”)

  • Coordinate attorney information packets for OCI.

  • Coordinate interview schedules for law student candidates.

  • Responsible for the overall functioning and accuracy of recruitment database for entirety of the recruiting process and summer associate program:

    • Produce appropriate reports

    • Manage and update all automated forms and templates

    • Provide technical support and resolves database issues for department

    • Provide training to other users as needed



  • Plan and execute firm-wide summer associate program.

  • Assist in coordinating arrangements and orientation for fall associates.

  • Propose, plan, and execute efforts toward firm visibility with respect to law students

  • Keep current on industry best practices impacting policy and the recruitment and retention of attorneys by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional associations and educational groups, and professional development efforts).

  • Produce monthly, year-end, and ad hoc recruiting reports.

  • Assist with lateral associate recruiting including posting positions, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.

  • Assist with the implementation of non-partner lateral recruiting and hiring efforts, including posting advertisements, sourcing candidates, and screening resumes from candidates, placement firms, and referrals

  • Coordinate candidate interview schedules, travel arrangements, hotel reservations, and expense reimbursements


  • Plan, coordinate, and attend recruiting events as necessary; assist in producing necessary correspondence related to the events; coordinate room bookings, catering, materials, room set up, and finalizing attendance numbers


  • Draft and track fee agreements with external legal recruiters and assist in processing related invoices

  • Recruiting and retention projects as assigned by the Director of Legal Recruiting

  • May assist in coordinating logistics of associate onboarding and integration.

  • Assists with Professional Development tasks as requested.

Qualifications and Skills









  • Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest of confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.

  • Must possess attention to detail, ability to balance multiple projects, and have strong time management skills.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Occasion attendance at evening events required
