Manager, GIS Solutions
Sidwell - Remote

The Sidwell Company is recruiting for a remote-based position of GIS Solutions Manager.  If you have a solid background in building high performing service delivery teams plus experience implementing and configuring cloud-based products that leverage Esri-based technology, let’s have a conversation.
 

The primary role of our GIS Solutions Manager is to provide leadership and assistance to our GIS Solutions team, to ensure the timely and profitable completion of project implementations.  This role will also involve some Esri app development.  To be successful in this role, you should be comfortable managing a team while also having your own projects to deliver on.

What you will be doing:

• Establish clear, measurable objectives for the GIS Solutions team, monitor & measure these objectives regularly, providing coaching as required.


• Working closely with Esri technology and reporting the latest Esri innovations and technical direction to the leadership team to help drive growth


• Resource scheduling to ensure project coverage.


• Meet monthly revenue goals and work with upper management on performance to forecast.


• Analyze current implementation processes and develop improved methodologies.


• Assist Sales with scoping, sizing and estimating efforts for opportunities.


• Be a point of escalation for customers

You’re a good fit for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 3 years leading people in a services-based organization.


• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in GIS.


• Post-secondary degree in GIS, Cartography, Geography, Civil Engineering, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.


• Solid Esri ArcGIS experience and overall knowledge of the Esri platform.


• Experience with projects leveraging ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Solutions


• Working knowledge of digitizing, editing, performing queries and creating maps in ArcGIS, Microsoft Access DB & Reporting Tools, Microsoft Excel AutoCAD and relational databases.


• SQL/VBA language skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• A collaborative, team-oriented work style paired with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
