The UX Designer will be responsible for creating UX designs used by developers to create digital experiences for customers. The right candidate will have experience designing UX user flows, UI wireframes, and high-fidelity designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Design user flows, wireframes, UI layout, and basic navigation concepts that can be provided to front-end developers for engineering & coding

  • Develop and lead usability testing for UX designs

  • Own the design system that governs UX design across the enterprise

  • Be involved at every stage of the product lifecycle, from discovery to design to execution, to ensure your approach works with technical solutions; be comfortable with incremental progress in implementation

  • Fuse creativity, technology, and business acumen to develop designs that are usable, accessible, conform to UX best practices, and are on brand

  • Lead brainstorms and product planning meetings in pursuit of seamless customer experience

  • Mentor contracted designers, helping them shape their design perspective and hone their skills

  • Keep up to date on UX design trends and analyze the competition

  • Act as a catalyst for creative thinking and non-traditional solutions to UX challenges

  • Collaborate with internal teams focused on providing digital enhancements to the customer journey

  • Collaborate with external agencies or contractors as needed

  • Partner with cross-functional groups, including product teams, front-end developers, back-end developers, marketing content creators, etc

  • Maintain a dynamic design system for digital UX and be willing to lead user testing efforts

Qualifications


  • Experience in UX design, including wireframes & high-fidelity designs

  • Experience with user testing

  • Familiar with UX/UI best practices

  • Required: Proficient in Figma for the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs

  • Preferred: understand CSS basics

  • Experience working with an external agency and digital product teams

  • Comfortable acting as a lead, directing the work of third-party designers as needed

  • Requires true passion for digital customer experience as well as being a creative thought-leader; experience working with transformation initiatives and agile environments

  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely

  • BA in UX design, UI design, graphic design, or related field preferred; masters degree in the same fields is ideal

  • Required occasional travel to visit childcare centers to meet with customers.
