This hospital has had a recent renovation and expansion to include state-of-the-art technology and equipment. The Med Surg RN will be delivering patient care at this community hospital. This hospital offers a wide range of services including emergency and trauma care, women’s services, cardiology, orthopedics, and pediatrics. 

Reporting to the Manager of Medical Surgical Services, the Med Surg RN will serve with an outstanding team of CMSRN - certified nurses. With the Nursing Manager and Director, a Unit Educator and three tenured Charge Nurses, this person will receive plenty of clinical support in the Medical Surgical department. 

This is a great opportunity for a strong Med Surg RN to move to a well-run and high quality department. The RN will work in a cutting edge unit. Collaborating with a skilled team of 20+ Nurses, and working closely with excellent doctors, respiratory therapists, and technicians, this Med Surg RN will find a unit that feels like a family. 

The Med Surg RN will serve an essential role on the Medical Surgical floor, responsible for the direct care of up to five patients per shift. The RN will incorporate evidence based practice into their care. The Med Surg RN will also be responsible for quickly and accurately responding to acute changes in their patient’s condition. 

The Med Surg RN will enjoy living in a beautiful, warm Southwest Texas town.
