Sr. Specialist Strategic Sourcing is responsible for sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for an established portfolio of products and services across Consumer Services. This position is responsible for creating value while reducing total cost of ownership through proactive category management in alignment with category strategies and by leveraging world-class negotiation and sourcing strategies. This position interacts with leaders throughout all levels of the Best Buy organization. The position interacts with 3rd party contracted partners.
The following business units supported within Consumer Services: Large Product Home Delivery and Installation, Fleet Operations, In-Home/Depot Repair, Call Center Operations, and other related services.
Day to day activities include continually building relationships with stakeholders and understanding of their supply base needs, develop a deep understanding of the categories you are responsible for, conduct research to support your category and sourcing strategies. draft, negotiate and execute contracts.
Support development of category and sourcing strategies with objective to determine and leverage optimal approaches, tools, and methodologies for each project
Leverage tools, policies, and relationships to help educate and influence internal clients on sourcing recommendation to achieve optimal results
Partner with colleagues in Sourcing & Procurement Operations teams to ensure optimal executional results
Create and nurture stakeholder relationships, ensuring ongoing partnership and engagement ensuring compliance in the use of sourcing and procurement services
Support Category leadership with more complex category management activities including but not limited to spend reporting, negotiations, supplier research and RFx.
Basic Requirements:
1 or more years of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Operations, or equivalent experience

Experience and expertise in contracting (legal work), use of procurement tools and practices such as supplier diversity programs, TCO calculation, etc.
Preferred Requirements:
Category-specific procurement experience, with outsourced relationship/ partner development
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrated strong negotiation, analytical, planning and execution skills
Expert MS Office skills, emphasis on Excel and ability to complete complex spend or data analysis
Strong organization, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
