Position Overview
Reporting to the Division Safety Manager, The Safety Administrative Assistant will assist and support the Safety Department in data collection/entry/reporting, claims handling assistance, training/education scheduling, MVR/DOT/motor vehicle compliance, and safety program administration.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
An interest to grow in a role of Safety is preferred.
Education and Experience:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 1 year experience in an administrative role. Proficient in basic Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook). Proficient in basic computer skills. The initiative to learn new tasks as assigned. Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of job duties simultaneously.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate sufficiently to be able to convey and exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions. Excellent phone, computer, and communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
