Job Overview



The Manager, Demand Planning and Replenishment position supports the objectives of the Club Channel Sales Team. This position is responsible for the planning and forecasting activities of select finished goods SKU's in various product categories within the Hostess portfolio. Additionally, this position creates and maintains forecast models, incorporates business intelligence, and generates forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources.


Forecast modeling, inventory parameter establishment, and optimizing inventory flow are the primary responsibilities of this position. This position leads the dialogue for assigned products between the Sales Team, as well as downstream executional contacts (Scheduling, Buying, Procurement, etc.) regarding upcoming demand and inventory needs.

Responsibilities


  • Owner of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) co-relationship with the Sam's Club replenishment team. This would include tracking inventory flow, PO creation, management, and review. Interface back with Sam's Club replenishment team on the tactical changes that need implementation.
  • Work with Sam's Club on the key platforms: MADRiD, NOVA (PO management), and Co-Man application (GRS, item/club mean values, etc.).
  • Utilize SAP for internal PO management.
  • Utilize key performance indicators for each item to drive a Demand and Inventory plan that optimizes service and inventory levels.
  • Owner of SKU demand plans for the club channel and/or product type. Identify opportunities to drive performance to increase top-line sales while mitigating bottom line risk.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Maintain all settings and SKU level plans in TradePro planning software as the primary forecasting system tool regarding Demand Planning.
  • Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and Category Management to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used to drive Inventory and Production decisions.

Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels and functions including Management, Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales partners.
  • High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail with strong aptitude in forecasting methodology.
  • Adept at operating at lowest level of detail.
  • Advanced skill in Excel and proficiency in other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Flexible team player with outstanding organizational skills
  • Thrive in environments requiring ability to effectively prioritize and concurrently manage multiple projects.
  • Proven ability to build productive cross-functional relationships internally and externally with key members of assigned customer base.




Minimum Requirements:


  • Previous experience in demand planning and replenishment systems (Retail Link, MADRiD, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of other supply chain functions (i.e., Transportation, Distribution Centers, Procurement)
  • Professional experience with a Consumer Packaged Goods company preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel)




Education and Experience


  • 3+ years in demand planning, inventory planning, or replenishment roles required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Management, Marketing or related field required
