Hybrid Schedule: Our NYC team has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office an average of three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding any changes to our hybrid schedule will be communicated as we continue to closely monitor COVID-19 with employee safety is our priority.

Helen of Troy's internship is a 10-week program (June 2023-August 2023), which requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. What you will be doing:

The E-Commerce Intern will support the E-Commerce Sales Team in their efforts to grow the business in online channels with a focus on the Amazon platform. They will be exposed to different business functions within a consumer products company including (but not limited to) Sales, Product Development, Operations/Supply and Brand Design/Marketing. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Coaching, mentorship, and professional guidance from expert performers and leaders.

  • Involvement in a dynamic and synergic work culture with diverse colleagues who are passionate about our products.

  • After the internship and graduation, consideration for career opportunities at various locations.

  • Develop a robust understanding of the CPG industry and the product categories that HoT plays in as well as adjacent category opportunities.

  • Play an integral role in the creation of category definitions to assist in the division wide reporting reclassification project.

  • Become proficient in the utilization and analysis of real-world syndicated data pertaining to market share, POS trends, competitive brands, and Ecommerce specific reporting.

  • Apply data analysis and formulation of key insights to support marketing efforts and develop online sales strategies.

  • Supports weekly ad hoc reporting and delivery of key reports to various stakeholders throughout the team.

  • Monitors product performance online for sales, inventory, ratings, and reviews.

  • Performs regular site maintenance for online platforms, such as to ensure product information is accurate and optimized for success.

  • Supports online marketing efforts and assists with the development of online sales strategies for new product launches. Actively owns and manages the reclassification of products.

  • Conducts market research and analysis for E-Commerce Sales Team to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Liaise between NY teams and external departments such as Customer Service, Logistics, and the Distribution Center to ensure customer purchase orders are fulfilled accurately and delivered on time.

  • Support the process of Sales initiatives and daily administrative responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full-Time undergraduate or graduate student (Must be at least a rising Sophomore of a four-year degree program)

  • Major / field of study related to applicable internship (i.e. Marketing, Finance, Sales, Business Administration)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

In California, Colorado and New York City, the standard base pay range for this role is $21-27 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado and New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skill level, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
