Job Description:

The Graduate Tax Program at Sturm College of Law is accepting applications for adjunct faculty to teach courses for the Spring 2023 semester. Adjunct faculty positions are non-benefited positions. Adjunct faculty are required to teach as scheduled, hold office hours, assign papers and exams as appropriate and be available to assist students with assignments. The Sturm College of Law operates on a semester system.


This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.



Required Qualifications

  • Law degree or advanced degree in taxation.
  • Previous teaching experience.
  • Ability to teach at a graduate level.
  • Professional experience in taxation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LL.M.(Tax) or MT degree.

Course Rate


Compensation will be $5,100 per course.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
