Job Description

Summary

  • This position is a key role within Veolia's Facilities & Building Services business. The Director leads a technical team that consists of onshore and offshore software development resources and onshore systems architecture and platform maintenance resources. The PURPOSE is to maintain and build a customer-facing digital platform supporting the business's consulting practice delivering services to our clients.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities


  • Manage a team that supports the required Information systems architecture and SaaS platform used to deliver services for our clients

  • Manage a team that develops, tests, and deploys our SaaS platform for Enterprise Energy Management services.

  • Collaborate with the Product Owners of each domain within the SaaS platform to ensure features and functions meet clients' needs.

  • Drive the definition of the product's roadmap, vision and strategy

  • Coordinate with North America IS&T support team to ensure compliance with all corporate and governmental requirements for information system performance and security.

  • Consult with various Veolia Environment organizations to ensure alignment of objects.

  • Oversee the help desk function that supports this business line is properly assisting the user community and supplying the appropriate level of customer service

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Background


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field

  • 10+ years' experience in information systems architecture methodologies

  • 8-10 years' experience managing an information technology and systems group

  • Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or MBA with a demonstrated capability to evaluate the business value of existing or proposed IT assets

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities


  • Advanced knowledge with proven success with software development methodologies and state of the art technologies

  • Demonstrated experience and success in developing internal control processes and procedures key for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in IT

  • Knowledge of current and developing IT applications, methods, and standards

  • Ability to manage and plan for large-scale technology change in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to plan and monitor major projects with broad institutional impact

  • Experience in major software and hardware systems procurement and implementation

  • Ability to develop and manage departmental and project budgets and plans

  • Cybersecurity experience highly preferred
