Finance Strategy - Simplicity Sr Manager - Remote - Chicago,IL

The Financial Analysis Sr. Manager plays a critical role in delivering superior insights to Mars Incorporated and the Business Segments to improve performance, by helping to ensure that the insights generated through sophisticated analytics translate into actions and initiatives that have impact at scale in the organization. The Financial Analysis Sr. Manager is a key strategic thought partner to the Mars Inc CFO, Segment CFO s, Corporate FP&A team and Global Segment leaders, with a focus on driving effective and data-driven resource allocation and long-term Value Creation.

What are we looking for?

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Business Analysis (e. g. strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development).


• Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field required


• Broad understanding of different areas of the business, key drivers and performance metrics


• Comfort with diving into ambiguous business questions to understand key issues and structure analytical path


• Forward-thinking in anticipating future consequences and trends

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Develop a deep understanding and independent perspective of performance drivers into one of the Mars Segments.


• Uncover areas within the business to drive performance improvements and value creation, leveraging data and advanced analytics techniques


• Understand strategic needs of the business, and is able to support decision making through actionable insights


• Collaborate with data scientist to develop innovative techniques to provide actionable insights to drive financial performance


• Help ensure that the deep insights generated through sophisticated analytics translate into actions and initiatives that have impact at scalein an organization, working closely with Segment leaders


• Drive highly visible strategic projects, working cross-functionally to structure problems, analyze opportunities, and develop solutions and actionable recommendations through a rigorous, data-driven process that leverage advanced analytics techniques


• Actively participate in the Corporate strategic resource allocation process, facilitating unbiased data-driven discussion to drive better investment priorities
