Arthrex is actively seeking for an Infrastructure Analyst - Virtualization to work in the Infrastructure Data Center Services Team. Strong and hands-on knowledge of Linux, Windows Server Operating Systems, monitoring, and scripting. Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies such as VMware and Nutanix.

Main Objective:

• Assist with Infrastructure monitoring


• Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades, integration, and automation for streamlining and system improvements


• Support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades.


• Maintain accurate, updated documentation while performing essential job duties


• Assist in global operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple computer infrastructure hardware/software solutions such as: VMware, Nutanix, Azure IaaS


• Support of Linux and Windows Operating Systems

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades.


• Assist with support of multiple locations worldwide.


• Complete IT operational tasks, project tasks, and end user support duties as assigned.


• Maintain accurate, updated documentation while performing essential job duties.


• Assist other analysts with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred


• Relevant work experience preferred

Specialized Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Windows networking and design, security, Local and Wide Area network design


• Knowledge of servers, virtualization, and storage systems


• Operating Systems Life-cycle management using tools like WSUS, SCCM, Rudder, Spacewalk and or SUMA


• Security hardening based on established industry standards


• Knowledge and support of VMware or AHV preferred


• Strong and hands-on knowledge of Linux preferred

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

• Administration knowledge and support of Public Cloud Infrastructure as a Service. Strong preference for Microsoft Azure.


• Some experience with Infrastructure Monitoring systems such as SolarWinds


• Understanding the concepts in IT Infrastructure fundamentals (below) is preferred.  Direct and hands-on experience with each is a plus, but not required:
  
  
  • Active Directory, DNS
  
  
  • LAN/Core Networking
  
  
  • Server hardening and security systems and solutions, such as anti-virus, SSO, MFA, etc.
  
  
  • Data Protection (backup/restore) and/or disaster recovery solutions
