Suddath Global Logistics supports Johnson & Johnson Vision Care facilities. In this role, you will be an employee of Suddath, but work on site at the Johnson & Johnson facility.

Major Goal:

The Materials Control Coordinator will conduct a full spectrum of inventory control, ensuring our customers raw material inventory is accurately receipted, counted, and organized within on-site and off-campus warehouses. They should be easily adaptable and will perform inventory analysis of Suddath's and customers warehouse management systems (WMS). The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet and customer focused. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Ownership of end-to-end raw materials stock management and optimization as a critical part of overall inventory control strategy.

  • Manage the replenishment of the customers on-site raw material warehouse inventories daily to support the production demands of manufacturing.

  • Inventory control activities to include finding, investigating, resolving, and correcting inventory discrepancies.

  • Maintain inventory cycle count program, including;

    • Maintaining item count numerical sequences

    • Tracking count data, count locations, and count entry

    • Conducting root cause investigation of count variances: confirm, investigate, reconcile, and adjust promptly.

  • Prepare and manage quarterly, and annual physical inventories for both internal and external warehouse locations and reconcile counts to customers WMS (SAP).

  • Develop solutions to optimize inventory control procedures;

    • Bar Coding of bins and materials

    • Min-Max Program

    • Kan-Ban Program

    • Bulk Items

    • Work with Planning and Procurement to ensure proper inventory levels.

  • Generate and distribute all required inventory reports as defined.

  • Screen incoming inventory emails and respond to those that correspond within your job duties.

  • Aid in the creation, maintenance, and update of all company and customer inventory control procedures.

  • Complete special projects, duties, and assignments, as directed by management.

  • Adhere to all departmental safety and quality policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Maintain documentation for audit purposes, as outlined by departmental policies. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Post high school education helpful with areas of study in inventory Management or relevant discipline will be considered an advantage.

  • Minimum 3-5 years in prior inventory control, warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience.

  • Familiarity with inventory management documentation and processing requirements.

  • Experience in operating all types of warehouse material handling equipment preferred.

  • Candidates with relevant reach truck experience are strongly preferred.
