Job Summary
The primary function of the Sales / Market Development Senior Advisor is to support the Market Sales Director in external sales and market development.

The sales process includes the development and execution of strategies and/or tactics in the following areas: Market Development, Prospecting and Relationship Development, Proposal Development, Pricing Development, Presentation Development and Delivery, Negotiations, Closing and Contracting.

Success will be measured by achievement of sales targets based on revenue goals.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.

Essential Functions

• Protocol Development: Develop retrospective protocols to assist pharma client in answering their research or market questions.


• Market Intel: define markets, size of opportunity, key targets within different markets.

• Build pipeline: connect with identified prospects to coordinate sales calls


• Presales support: work with analytics team to pull applicable data stats, work with director to develop successful sales proposals.


• Expand market: engage internally to access novel data/data sources, and define the associated markets, value, pricing and business terms.

Qualifications

• 5 - 10 years relevant experience in sales market development and retrospective research projects leveraging Rx and Medical data.


• PharmD or other clinical degree


• Detailed knowledge of how data and analytics can be leveraged to drive value in a respective market.


• Adept at identifying prospects and developing key relationships.


• Proven ability to consistently generate a high level of sales prospects.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
