Position Title: Fiber Design and Construction Management Intern

Role 


The Fiber Design & Construction Management Intern is responsible for supporting the design and construction activities within the district. This position works closely with Fiber Design Engineers and Construction Managers supporting their daily activities. This position will work closely with the Design & Construction teams, to better align and prioritize daily work activities. They may be tasked with quality control, records integrity, vendor closeout reviews and other value-added initiatives. The Design & Construction intern will build an understanding of the Crown Castle business model and how the construction and implementation organization contributes to the ongoing success of the business.


  


Responsibilities



  • Assist in inputting, reviewing, and updating records.

  • Filing and organizing as built documentation.

  • Assisting teammates with completion of aging assignments.

  • Maintaining certain databases to ensure compliance with utilities.

  • Assist with administrative tasks ensuring proper paperwork is provided to local agencies on time and with accuracy.

  • QA/QC current databases ensuring best practices are followed and corrected where applicable.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders reviewing KPI’s assisting and following up where applicable.

 Education/Certifications   



  • Currently enrolled in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution

  • Preferred field(s) of study: Computer Science, GIS, Communications Technology, Construction Engineering and Management, or Business


Experience/Minimum Requirements   



  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship

  • Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint




Reports to: District Manager  


Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in your assigned office approximately 60% of the time (3 days per week) and where you do your best work 40% (2 days per week).
