GENERAL DESCRIPTION: This role will also provide oversight and supervision to the Family Resource Network (FRN) Employment Department and Support Services Department. The Director will ensure the overall quality of services delivered to participants and their families under this Department is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to families and individuals with developmental disabilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and provide ongoing feedback to:
Family Support Services Manager
Getting to Work Program Manager
EDGE Program Manager
NJWINS Project Manager
Successfully complete training to become proficient in Supported Employment, specialized DVRS Services, and benefits planning services
Ensure that employment and support services are provided to all service recipients in a manner that is person centered and protects participants rights, including comprehensive data collection and confidentiality of all data collected
Coordinate initial training for all employment and support service staff and provide ongoing training as needed
Actively promote FRN Employment & Support Services to agencies both inside and outside of NJ to expand service delivery
Participate in trade associations and key community-based committees related to employment and support services
Network and develop relationships with key stakeholders
Oversee writing and distribution of all newsletters, brochures, promotional materials, and publications developed for use in the department, including articles in conjunction with the marketing committee
Expand employment and support services by identifying new Fee For Service and grant opportunities
Manage and write Employment and Support Services contract renewals and grants
Prepare and submit progress reports as required by funding sources and/or FRN
Create, monitor, and report on Key Performance Indicators for Employment Programs and Support Services
Oversee program specific budgets to ensure that expenditures follow established department budget
Develop effective systems for evaluating, monitoring, and improving overall department and program efficiency
Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all performance improvement activities
Maintain up to date, comprehensive participant records utilizing FRNs electronic health record (Foothold, HHAeXchange) to ensure service plans and notes are accurate and meeting/exceeding FRN and CARF standards
Review and sign timesheets, time off requests, and expenses for direct reports
Market and promote Employment & Support Services in partnership with Marketing Department
Provides other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or CEO
QUALIFICATIONS:
Supervisory experience required
Master’s Degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology or related field required
Knowledge of Employment services including, Social Security, Ticket to Work, WIOA, Pre-ETS, and supported employment
Knowledge of federal and state benefits services including DDD, DCF, CSOC/PerformCare, NJDVRS
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and physical disabilities
Demonstrated ability to drive and manage change in a planful, systematic way, engaging others through the process
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fiscal management skills necessary to sustain and grow programs and services to achieve strategic goals and objectives
Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
