Optical Coating Tech at II-VI Aerospace & Defense in BUDD LAKE, New Jersey

Job Description:

We are seeking an Optical Coating Technician in our Budd Lake, NJ facility. This role is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and loading optical substrates, including the below duties:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect, final wipe, and load optics for coating per production schedule
• Determine if surface quality is fully compliant to a drawing or specification
• Inspect and final wipe per production schedule
• Preparation of optical substrates for thin film disposition
• Load parts and operate Ultrasonic Wash Line
• Follow ISO procedures and policies

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Some college in physics, chemistry, engineering and/or math desired
• 3+ years previous experience in material inspection

• Demonstrated ability to see and handle small parts using a microscope
• Basic data entry skills
• Willing/able to work in a cleanroom environment, fully gowned
• Willing/able to work with minimal exposure to chemicals such as, methanol and isopropanol\\
• Accurate data entry skills
• Previous experience in an optics manufacturing environment or similar technical training desired
• Experience in optics cleaning and inspection desired
• Experience in optical coating technologies desired
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, etc.) desired
• MRP/ERP experience desired
