Job Description:

Job title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Location: 6800 South US-75, Sherman, TX 75090

Job duties: Responsible for supplier Root cause analysis using Fishbone/Cause & Effect diagram, 5-Why" analysis and implementation of corrective action to improve the product/process performance and eliminate waste. Lead and qualify the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for all new parts including, for parts that have Form, Fit, Function changes. Develop comprehensive inspection requirements manuals to establish acceptance criteria for future inspections by incorporating past supplier, past internal process issues and customer issues. Collect and analyze statistical data through Cp and Cpk metrics in order to determine defect patterns and establish quality standard and reliability objectives. Manage the process for incoming quality inspections. Responsible for approving First Article Inspections and/or Golden Samples, as initiated by supplier. Collaborate with the vendors to conduct Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R). Measurement System Analysis (MSA) on the measurement devices to reduce the measuring equipment variations. Manage the process for CoC and CoQ acceptance. Design robust Outbound Quality inspection (OQC) at the supplier locations. Act as a liaison between the Process & Equipment Engineering teams with suppliers during continuous improvement or corrective action projects. Issue and Track the supplier corrective actions for nonconforming indirect materials and spare parts. Identify and Track key process indicators for supplier quality (dppm, corrective action resolution time, etc.). Perform regular audits of supplier facilities and/or quality management systems. Develop and improve supplier agreements alongside the supply line engineer team. Support and maintain ISO 9001, Quality Management System (QMS) actions and ISO 14001, and Environmental Management System (EMS) actions.

Position requires 30% travel to Fremont, CA.

Requirements: M aster's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering or a related field plus 2 years of experience with Quality, Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Management, or related. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Requires skills and experience to involve: e xperience in strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements; experience being an effective Project Manager; knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics; experience in structured problem solving techniques (5-why, 3x5why, 8D); experience with Advanced statistical analysis and sampling methods; and experience Database management, Data mining and analysis and/or programming.
