First Databank (FDB) is seeking a People Operations (PeopleOps) Administrator in the Human Resources department. The PeopleOps Administrator assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties. The PeopleOps Administrator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: on-boarding, benefits, staffing, HRIS, training and development, compensation and employee relations.

This position will work a hybrid remote role, based out of the South San Francisco, CA office.

Responsibilities:


  • Serve as front-line person for employee HR questions regarding, but not limited to, policies, HR programs, new hire onboarding, open enrollment, recruiting, and leaves administration

  • Conduct research, analyze data and prepare reports as needed to support HR initiatives and provide insights on trends and HR metrics.

  • Assist with termination and exit interview process by ensuring all required processes are followed and proper exit interview documents are verified.

  • Ability to handle full-cycle recruiting, and assist in scheduling qualified candidates for interviews.

  • Assist in organizing and leading local recruitment events and career fairs.

  • Conduct audits of various HR programs and recommend any corrective action.

  • Partner with HR Team and the business on key HR programs such as the review cycle and employee satisfaction survey.

  • Support the organization’s vision, mission and values externally and internally.

  • Manage leave process and administration including but not limited to FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, LTD, and Worker's Compensation.

  • Verifies I-9 documentation, processes E-verifications and other compliance needs..

  • Inputs new employee data and changes into Oracle/ADP. Sets-up and maintains personnel files.

  • Maintains company organization charts.

  • Invoice reconciliation relating to HR vendors.

  • Assists employees with issues/questions relating to ADP eTime, benefits, and others.

  • Audit personnel files periodically.

  • Support with day-to-day administration and operations within the HR Team.

Required Skills:


  • Associate Degree in business or equivalent.

  • Creative problem solver with a "can do" attitude.

  • Enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects.

  • Thrives in high-pressure environment.

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel.

Required Experience:


  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of general HR best practices; ability to recognize/discern potential legal issues.

  • Professional Human Resource (PHR) Certification preferred

In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in San Francisco, CA. The reasonable estimate, if hired in San Francisco, is $55,000 – 70,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in location. If this role is open to candidates outside of location, the salary range would be aligned to that specific location. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
